Seven Brunvoll thrusters in newbuilt Viking Neptun

Viking Neptun was delivered from Kleven Verft to Eidesvik on February 17th, and the naming ceremony was held in Stavanger on February 28th.The vessel’s Godmother, Patricia Pilenko, broke the champagne bottle on Viking Neptun, which will now start operating on charter for Technip in the North Sea.With nine propellers – two main propellers from Wärtsila and seven Brunvoll thrusters( 2 x FU115, 2 x AR100 and 3 x FU100 ) and eight engines from Wärtsilä, the powerful vessel has a max speed of 17.2 knots.
