Brunvoll supplies hybrid propulsion to Crew Transfer Vessels for the very first French marine renewable energy industry park.
Brunvoll has signed a contract with French shipyard OCEA SA, for delivery of hybrid propulsion system for two crew transfer vessels ordered to the shipyard by Louis Dreyfus Armateurs in partnership with Tidal Transit. The vessels are designed by naval architect MAURIC, built by OCEA SA and will be operated on the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm, the very first one in France. First delivery from Brunvoll will take place in Q4, 2021.
The Brunvoll delivery is a compact system supply for battery package and electric motors for propulsion with hotel load supply, with focal area on control philosophy and energy savings. Brunvoll’s scope of delivery consists of control systems, EMS, DC Switchboards, VFD’s, El-motors and batteries. Included in the contract is also delivery of a Triton CPP propulsion control system for a third vessel, which is a hybrid-ready diesel-mechanical crew transfer vessel.
